Dr. Ray Rassai has practiced surgery in the East Bay for over two decades. He joined East Bay Surgical Associates in 2000, where he performed general, minimally invasive, endocrine, venous, and trauma surgery. In 2007, he returned to San Joaquin General Hospital as Associate Professor and Chairman of the Department of Surgery before resuming private practice in 2010. That same year, East Bay Surgical Associates merged with BASS Medical Group. Dr. Rassai continues to practice general surgery with a special interest in minimally invasive hernia repair, gallbladder disease, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and colon cancer.
